Chinese Lunar New Year is upon us and i’ve had the idea in my mind to illustrate a cat fighting a snake for a while now. Cats have such quick reflexes that they often dodge or outmaneuver a snake when it attacks.
Serpents are symbolic in many cultures and often represent transformation, death, rebirth, and much more. Another fascinating thing is that snake venom is often used in medicine, which had me thinking about ways in which what we experience could be seen as venom or as medicine, depending on how we choose to look at it.
Can we see the situations, interactions and relationships as an opportunity to grow and transform instead of furthering the beliefs we hold about life and what we make it mean about ourselves? Maybe what we believe is venom in our lives is actually the medicine we need to transform.
